Right to Grow

Grow Lewisham and the Lewisham Growing Network are working towards a Right to Grow on unused  Council land. This will give Borough residents permission to use Council spaces to grow food and crops.

The campaign, inspired by similar projects in Hull and Shrewsbury, involves changing council policy and mapping Lewisham owned land to make it possible for community groups grow close to home.

We are currently working to map potential growing spaces within the borough and lobbying Lewisham Council to pass a motion to allow residents to grow on disused land and spaces.

If you want to get involved in mapping or lobbying the council WATCH THIS SPACE, we will be posting links to the petition and how to map your own area here
